Commitment

已经过了两个星期的培训，我似乎开始对我这份工作产生一份熟悉。可是，保留的心态依然存在。以我的性格而言，我真的怀疑自己是否能够在这个领域闯出我自己的一片天。嗨…还是努力一年后再说吧。
昨天跟几名小学同学相约吃晚饭、唱K。本来期待着的一个难得的聚会，却因为三几个人的临时爽约而变得些许扫兴。在那么大的世界里，人与人之间能存在在同一个空间，甚至因分享了人生的某一个阶段或兴趣而成为朋友，其实是件非常不简单的事。相识靠的是机缘，关系的维持和发展靠的是每个人的付出和一些牺牲。希望朋友不要把友谊当作理所当然。

FIRST DAY @ WORK
It's my first day at work today and along with other new colleagues we arrived in Penang for a week of training and orientation. It is a rather long first day, since poor me have to wake up at 4am to arrive at the airport at 6am... It certainly didn't help that the training consists of topics on business etiquettes and decorum, something which has already become second nature to me... Cute questions were asked during the QnA session, and I wished fervently that I would never ever work in the same team as the originator of the questions...

Dinner is next after this blog entry, and hopefully the awakening of my taste buds to the local delicacies will conclude my first day at work with a better note....

Hasta la Vista!!!

Wow... it seems like forever since I last updated this blog... I have been busy with many things lately... mainly catching up with old interests, watching blockbusters I missed, travelling around for the past half a year.

PS: It's really very lonely to travel alone... but luckily for me, I met Geraldine, Winnie, Shimin and Peter in Shanghai... and they really made the trip a very memorable one for me... Thanks, guys...

Just a short update on what I am up to now:
1. I am officially 24 yrs of age (as of Jul 20. Those of you who forgot my presents, I don't mind them anytime...)
2. I am officially a graduate with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree... (Phew... finally...)
3. I am currently accepted a job in one of the Big 4 accounting firms and will be going in in mid September...
4. I am still single and currently unattached... (recommendations are most welcome but NO surprise matchmaking sessions please...)
5. I am now quite fond of long distance runs and I run 10km every other day... Completed the AHM and heading for the Singapore marathon at the end of the year... Anyone keen on running can always jio me for runs....

That's all for now... I shall make it a habit to blog every now and then... I promise...
