CLARITY

Had a chat this morning with the associate director of the department I am aiming to go into. A slight morale booster came when they said they were impressed with me as an individual. However, it seems to me that they still have some issues on what I can do with my limited experience of only one year.... Sigh.

But its rather clear to me now: its either a green light to their department within this month, or the exit door for me out of this job. Really wonder why the hell I managed to drag this long to make the decision. Now that I made my mind, the air seems easier to breathe....

The CFA package has finally arrived. Soon my life will just be all study, sports (and possibly work) for the next half of the year. Wonder if I can master the skill of sleeping while standing during this period...

INSOMNIA

Found it rather hard to go to sleep early these days (explains my panda eyes). The reason: a plethora of issues pertaining to my career, my self development and, yeah... a potentially significant other of the opposite gender. My mind is now a cacophony of wild thoughts of the two factions: idealism vs pragmatism.

Looking forward to my weekly run tonight... Maybe it could help me find a little escape from it all...

Woke up at 5.30am for a run with Tekko, Molly and Michelle at Peirce today. Despite a little episode of me going to holland (yes... again...), they quickly found me en route to Upper Peirce carpark from Lower Peirce (yeah... I am hopelessly stupid..) and picked me up to the start point.

The route was relatively cooling and quite challenging towards the end. The reward after the 15km route: a cup of ice cold Gatorade and the pleasing view of Pierce Reservoir in its morning glory.

Breathing in the fresh morning air (albeit between heavy pantings) makes one feel like the personna in the Great Eastern commercial.

Life is great...
